How long does a move take?
Each move is different, so it’s hard to give an exact time frame. If you are under a time or budget constraint, let us know, and your movers will work with you to meet your deadline. We always work as quickly and efficiently as possible, so you never have to worry about us wasting your time.
How does moving insurance work?
There are two main types of moving insurance — standard valuation and full coverage. Ameritex automatically covers your belongings at the industry standard of $0.60 per pound. You can also purchase full coverage through a third-party insurance company. Also, be sure to check with your homeowners’ insurance to see if they cover moves.
Where do I change my address?
Before you move, change your address with the following:

Do the movers pack?
Ameritex provides everything you need for your move, including packing and unpacking services. You can also choose specific moving services a la carte. We recommend booking your packing and moving services on different days so you don’t feel stressed or overwhelmed.
What things are the movers not allowed to move?

- Plants or animals
- Sensitive documents

About Our Policies
How does payment work?
When we schedule your move, you’ll pay your trip fee as a deposit. When the move is complete, you’ll pay the remainder to your crew leader. You can use debit and all major credit cards. We cannot accept cash or check payments.
What if I need to cancel?
We understand that life happens, so we will fully refund your deposit if you cancel at least 24 hours prior to your move.
