When it’s time to pack… start early! and be sure to pack properly by using adequate packing supplies, not over-stuffing boxes and containers and having loose miscellaneous items laying around that could be time consuming to individually move. At Ameritex Movers, we know that you’re busy with the logistics of packing and moving. So let us take the stress of having to remember your appointments too. Our staff will call you 24 hours prior to your move to confirm the date, time and details of your move. Feel free to ask for any last minute packing tips and make sure to know what items we are prohibited to move such as live plants and animals, fire arms & ammunition and any type of explosives like fire extinguishers and propane tanks. Double check our accepted forms of payment, and get ready to see our awesome movers the following day.
5) Moving Day: Your Crew’s Arrival!
This is it… it is the “It’s all happening now!” moment. No need to worry. We’ve got it all under control. To help recognize who is who… when your crew arrives, your crew leader will be dressed in a red shirt and the crew helpers will be dressed in brown shirts. Your crew leader will kindly greet you, present you with your Household Goods Proposal/Contract for Moving Services and will walk you through the next steps. Be sure to have the walkways where the movers will need access to inside and outside of the property cleared like clutter in hallways and parking in apartment communities. Doing this will help reduce damages and injuries and will expedite your moving process.

The Household Goods Proposal/Contract for Moving Services will outline the details of your move. Please read the information carefully to insure accuracy and understand limits of liability. You will receive one of two types of proposals. The first is a binding proposal which will give you an exact price for your move. This price generally factors the inventory you and the scheduling coordinator have discussed, in addition to mileage, flights of stairs and number of crew members needed to provide the service. The second type of proposal is called a not to exceed proposal. This type of proposal states the maximum amount for the move. But before we leave, there are a few final things to wrap up. You’ll need to sign the Household Goods Proposal/Contract for Moving Services accepting delivery of shipment and be prepared to make payment.
