Katy Independent School District, or Katy ISD, is a public school district that serves the city of Katy, Texas. It’s made up of 39 elementary schools, 14 junior high schools, and nine high schools. Katy ISD is just one of the 18 districts within the Houston-metropolitan area.
Katy Independent School District
Although Katy Independent School District is much smaller than Houston ISD with a total of 63 schools, it ranks as the second best school district in the Houston-metropolitan area. In early 2017, seven Katy ISD high school students received a perfect ACT score of 36. This is an exemplary accomplishment because less than one percent of ACT test takers earn a perfect score. But KISD is more than just academics.
