Katy School District is the fifth-largest school district in the Houston metropolitan area. It spans three counties: Harris County, Fort Bend County, and Waller County. In fact, the district’s 60 schools have an enrollment of more than 70,000 students.
Katy School District contains seven four-year high schools, four of which are nationally ranked with graduation rates in the 93-97% range:

The district matches each subdivision to an elementary, junior high, and high school. That means the Katy school your child attends depends on where you live, and your kids go to school with the neighbors.
As far as the district’s values, Katy ISD prides itself on being a leader in academic excellence. The district truly believes children are the future and therefore entrusts them to “be the legacy.”

Katy Junior High School
Katy Junior High School, home of the Tigers, is the city’s oldest junior high. In north Katy since 1965, KJH is rich in tradition.
Katy Junior High values lifelong learning and productivity. In fact, many of its students participate in Academic Pentathlon, Student Council, and National Junior Honor Society. Many also participate in band, choir, orchestra, theatre arts, and athletics programs. Plus, there is a widely diverse population.
Katy High School
Katy High School is one of seven high schools in Katy ISD. With an enrollment of nearly 3,000 students, it has a student-teacher ratio of 17:1. Like Katy ISD, Katy High School also has a long tradition of educational excellence with a student participation in Advanced Placement classes of 31 percent. It offers an inclusive curriculum that provides opportunities for all of its students, regardless of their academic level.
The school is more than 100 years old, and has a strong alumni organization. Current students have plenty of options for extracurricular activities, from athletics to dozens of clubs. Some student clubs include:
