The Health Museum — Don’t miss Health & Wellness Week March 14-19 at The Health Museum.

The Children’s Museum of Houston — This kid-friendly favorite does it up big for spring break every year.
Asia Society Texas — This cultural mecca for all things Asia presents a couple of activities during Spring Break.
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston — {Kids 12 and under are always free at MFAH}. This Houston museum is offering special family activities for Spring Break March 9-22.

Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens — {Kids 18 and under are free during Spring Break}. Spring break activities are March 9-20 with garden tours, scavenger hunt, arts and crafts, historic games and toys, open house tours, Colonial Campsite, and more.

Rienzi — {Kids 12 and under are always free at Rienzi}. The MFAH house museum offers several kid-friendly options during Spring Break including Storytime Tours and Sketching in the Galleries.

Rosenberg Railroad Museum — This railroad-themed museum in Rosenberg is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm and 1 pm – 5 pm Sundays.

This is no reason to use anyone else but these guys, like for real! My crew leader Geronimo and the rest of his group were phenomenal!! All my furniture and boxes were loaded quickly onto their truck and unloaded with the quickness! Nothing arrived damaged or broken, nothing was bumped into either. They were able to make moving, an already complicated situation, so easy. The communication with also on point! I knew when to except the movers and they kept me updated throughout the whole process. Just remember you get what you pay for and these guys and the service they provided was worth every dollar!

It's sad that the movers took advantage of disabled individuals. As soon as I noticed the loss, I contacted them. Due to my physical limitations, the postmarked envelope was sent on the 90th day. I wouldn't reach this company. I understand they are in the business of making money, but yo take advantage of disabled adults is not only immoral, but poor customer service.

Ameritex asking me to contact them was a joke. They're not willing to help resolve my issue or file the claim. I'm out of over $10000 worth of electronics and incontinence supplies. I paid the insurance and it did nothing for me. There is no need for your company to contact me with another lie. I wouldn't recommend this moving company to anyone.

I regret to say that we had a terrible experience with AmeriTex Movers. As a returning customer who had used their services twice before, I expected a professional and reliable move. Unfortunately, this time, it was the worst service we could have received—from an inaccurate estimate to inexperienced workers.

Our move was supposed to take two days: the first for packing and the second for transporting our belongings from Houston to San Antonio. However, the packing crew, which included an older gentleman and two younger men, arrived late after completing another job and were completely unprepared. They didn’t bring enough bubble wrap, forcing me to go to Home Depot to buy it for them. The younger workers had no experience packing—if anything, it seemed like it was their first time. They were slow, unorganized, and didn’t handle our belongings with the extra care we specifically requested. Despite repeatedly asking them to use bubble wrap, they often ignored our requests. What should have been a three-hour packing job stretched to six hours and was still left incomplete. They didn’t touch our outdoor furniture, garage, or other household items, assuring us that the next day’s crew would handle it.

The next day, the moving crew arrived with no knowledge of the unfinished packing. Worse, they didn’t even bring the necessary boxes for the garage items. They attempted to load our patio TV into the truck without any protection, and instead of using proper techniques, they carried each item one by one onto the truck—making the process even longer.

Upon arriving at the storage unit, there was no plan for unloading, and the crew seemed confused about how to organize our belongings. None of the movers spoke English, which made communication even more difficult. To top it off, customer service was unresponsive and failed to provide timely updates on the truck’s location and estimated arrival times.

Despite all of this, we still tipped the workers because we felt the problem wasn’t entirely their fault. The real issue lies with AmeriTex’s poor management, lack of proper training, and failure to assign skilled movers to the job. It felt like they just sent random, unqualified workers to handle our move.

I used to recommend AmeriTex Movers to family and friends, but after this experience, I can no longer do so.

I have a lot of things and we’re talking about Heavy Furniture(Dresser King Bed Big Couch) Big 75in Tvs and a whole lot of Large Boxes and Bins!!! They handled my stuff with care nothing was damaged and they got it done in 2.5hrs! Now remind you we traveled about 25min-30min away to my next apt. That lets you know they were focused on getting it done and wasn’t messing around. There was no elevator they carried all that up stairs and put my bed back together my furniture back together and asked me what room I wanted each box at. I used Ameritex for my move in November 2024. This was my third move with them, and I had had great experiences with them previously outside of some minor damage to a wooden bookshelf. However, with my most recent move, the hardwood floors in my house were completely scratched from the dolly that was used and also from dropping a heavy washer and dryer down the stairs. I asked if they had a tarp that they could use once I saw the floors getting scratched, and they said that wasn't necessary. They also spoke very little English and it was very difficult to communicate any concerns with the movers. I called the company to let them know what was happening given the communicating difficulty and ongoing damage that I was witnessing, and they assured me that they would send someone the next day to repair the floor damage. The next day, they sent another mover out, who brought his child with him for translation and who stated that he could attempt the repairs but that the repairs would remain visible. The company told me this was the best they could offer because they are just a moving company and do not have anyone to repair hardwood floors. They then sent me a $75 check in the mail that said if I cash the check then they no longer have any liability for the damage that was caused by the movers. Lastly, my wooden bed frame was damaged and required about 60 minutes of repair (damage still very visible but bed is usable) by the movers. I asked to be reimbursed for this time and was given reimbursement for 30 minutes of moving time. I would caution anyone against using this company for any move other than into and out of a rental in which you have minimal investment in the property.

The two team members on our move were as professional as they could be the entire time. Asked to pick up goods from three different locations while working in the rain was probably more than most require, but Jesus and his partner were friendly and very helpful.
